The CSI IGIT Student Branch was formed on 18th August, 2008 under the guidance of Dr. Devendra Tayal (HOD, CSE and Branch Counselor, CSI IGIT), Ms. Vibha (Faculty Advisor, CSI IGIT) and it was formally inaugurated on 20th October, 2008 followed by a week long celebration comprising of competitions, quizzes, workshops and so on. It is a technical society which serves as a platform innovative for the ideas of IGITians. CSI students of IGIT organises "TREMORS" an annual technical festival. Members participate and organize and be a part of the confluence between technology and academia every year. The branch aims to create a technology oriented environment in IGIT. It has 120 members from CSE and IT Departments and envisages growing to over 250 by the end of this academic year.
