Teaching/Research Experience: 
 

Prof. Rajinder K. Gupta completed his higher education including first PhD degree from Delhi University in Organic Chemistry of Natural Products. He earned his second PhD in Microbiology /Biotechnology from University of Idaho, USA. He was awarded Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship to work at the Technical University, Berlin, Germany, where he worked on Phytochemicals and Natural Products. He worked on bioactive agents from marine organisms at the University of Oklahoma, USA, and on actinomycetes physiology and on their biocatalytic /biotransformation ability of various substrates of natural origin at University of Idaho, USA. He has over 100 research publications to his credit and has more than three decades of experience in academia, and industry (pharmaceutical, agrochemical, polymer and commercial test house). He is a member of several national & international professional /academic bodies. He has provided consultancy to Delhi Government to set up an ultramodern R & D and food quality testing facility in Delhi. His current areas of research include identification of bioactive agent from actinomycetes & plants, biotransformations, and production of nanomaterials using microorganisms (nanobiotechnology).
