Economic development and environmental effects are inseparable. The extent of environmental degradation is dependent on the efficient use of resources and effective control of adverse effects. The broad objectives of the research efforts of the faculty at the School of Environment Management , GGS Inderprastha University , are to study how the production distribution and use of resources affect the environment, and to find ways to mitigate the adverse effects. At present USEM is focussing on the following research areas:

Research collaboration: Completed a joint research with University of Karlsruhe ( Germany ) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), for development of decentralized wastewater treatment technology in 2007.
