- Sanjay Kumar Malik is Asstt. Professor (Previously as Senior Lecturer) in the University School of Information Technology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector 16-C, Dwarka, New Delhi.
- He did his schooling from Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi. He obtained his Bachelor's degree B. Sc. (Computer Science) from Delhi University, Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Degree from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore University and M.Tech (IT) Degree (72.4 cpi) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University , Delhi. Prior to these, he also did M. Tech (IT) [Distance Education] from Punjabi University, Patiala and B. Ed. from M.D. University, Rohtak.
- Presently he is pursuing Ph.D from GGS Indraprastha University under the guidance / supervision of Prof. Nupur Prakash (Professor, University School of IT and Principal, IGIT, GGSIPU ) and Dr. S.A.M. Rizvi (Reader, Department of Computer Science) as Co-guide, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. He has published several research papers in National/International Conferences and Journals.

- He has nearly 13 years of experience in academics and software industry.
- He worked as Software Engineer in Dubai & USA.
- He worked as Lecturer in University of Delhi and joined GGS Indraprastha University in July,1999.
- He is presently working in the capacity of Asstt. Professor in University School of Information Technology (USIT), GGSIPU.

He has been involved in the development of various reputed websites like: -
- "Indian Parliament Website" (Inaugurated by Hon'ble Sh. Shankar Dayal Sharma, former President of India, in the Parliament of India.).
- "Asian Football Games -1996 Website" (Inaugurated by former President of U.A.E. in Dubai, United Arab Emirates).
- "Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Website" (Inaugurated by Sh. Murli Manohar Joshi, in GGS Indraprastha University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi).
- He has been guiding students of MCA/B.Tech/ M.Tech.(IT) in research and other projects on various web technologies. Guiding and motivating students to do research projects.
- He is involved in various Academic, Technical , Cultural and Sport's activities of the University.
Academics
- He has been teaching to students of various graduate and post graduate professional programmes like B.Tech (IT) / MCA / M.Tech (IT) / M.Sc.(Environment Management) / MBA / MA(English) and involved in other academic activities. He has been also teaching to MCA (Software Systems) programme of Lao PDR Country.
Technical
- Besides teaching work, he was managing Internet, Intranet and Website activities of the University for more than 10 years. Developed the GGSIP University website and acted as Incharge, Weblab of the University.
- Acted as Incharge of the University Server Room for more than 10 years. He was member of UCITIM (Centre for IT Services & Infrastructure Management) of the University which is responsible for providing IT services and infrastructure in the campus.
Cultural
- He has been incharge "infoxpression" (Technical cum cultural event of University School of I.T) since several years.
- Member of cultural committee of "Anugoonj", cultural festival of the University since several years.
Courses / Training : Actively involved in organising and participating in various training programs in the School.
- Acquired certificate courses like "Microsoft Certified Professional" and NIC Certificate courses on "Website Design" and "Internet Management".
- Completed 4 week Orientation Course from CPDHE, University of Delhi from 2nd July to 28th July, 2007
- Completed 3 week Refresher course from CPDHE, University of Delhi from 20th September to 11th October, 2007
- Completed a workshop on ".Net/C# Technology" from December 17 to 21, 2007 from USIT, GGSIPU.
- Attended a two weeks training program in "Cyber Crime Investigations and Computer Forensics" organised by University School of Information Technology, GGS Indraprastha University in June/July, 2008 (02-06-08 to 14-06-08). He was actively involved in imparting "Computer Training for Delhi Police" on "Cyber Crime Investing actions and Computer Forensics" in University School of I.T in first batch (01.04.08 to 30.04.08) and second batch (05.05.08 to 30.05.08) of police training.
- Attended One day Seminar on "Advances in operating System" on 21st November,2008 in USIT, GGSIPU.
- Attended a two weeks AICTE sponsored Faculty Development Programme on "Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing" from 22 Dec, 08 to 2 Jan, 09 organised by University School of IT, GGS Indraprastha University.
- Attended a four days workshop on "Animation
through high end 3D software (Maya)" from 21 Dec to 24 Dec,
09 organised by USIT, GGSIPU.
Examination and Academic Section
- He is involved in various activities of Examination like Paper Setting, Evaluation and CET University Representative, Inspection of affiliated institutes etc.
- He was involved in University CET / Semester results and Counselling/Admission information made available on the University website.
Sports/ Tours
- He acted as University Representative
/ Manager, Sports in Inter-College Football Championship North Zone,
in Mahilpur (District Hoshiarpur, Punjab) during December 2006 and
a member of Sports Committee of the University.
- He won Gold Medals (1st Prize)
in 100 m. & 200 m. race of teaching staff in 1st Athletic Meet
2007-08 and Basketball Championship during March 2007.
- He won first prize in 4 x
100 m. relay race held in Feb, 07 of the officers of CMC Ltd. in
Annual Sports Day of CMC in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road,
Delhi.
- He acted as team captain of
University School of IT faculty cricket team and won the match against
M.Tech(IT) students during "InfoXpression 2006-2007" Technical
-cum- Cultural fest).
- He won the second prize in
Brisk walking and 3 Lag Race competition during Annual Sports Day
of CMC Ltd. in National Bal Bhawan on 9th Feb., 2008.
- He acted as University Representative
in Sports Adventure Tour of GGSIPU students to Manali from 28-03-08
to 03-04-08 which involved various adventurous activities like:
trekking, mountaineering, river crossing, river rafting, skewing
etc.
- Acted as team member in South
India (Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty) Tour of MCA (SS) Lao PDR students
from 30-05-2010 to 06-06-2010 which was an academic, industrial
and sight seeing trip.
- He won second (Silver Medals) prize in 4 x 100 m., 100m relay race held in Feb, 2011 of the officers of CMC Ltd. in Annual Sports Day of CMC in Bharti Mahila College, Janakpuri, New Delhi.
Research
- He is pursuing Ph.D from GGS Indraprastha University under the guidance / supervision of Prof. Nupur Prakash (Professor, University School of IT and Principal, IGIT, GGSIPU) and Dr. S.A.M. Rizvi (Reader, Department of Computer Science) as Co-guide, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. He has published several research papers in National & International Conferences and Journals. He is life time member of CSI with membership no: 00168344. He has been honoured with "Third Best Researcher Award, 2011" by GGS Indprastha University for his contributions in research.
