PROGRAMMES

of Law and Legal Studies)
I – B.A., LL.B. (H) Five Year Course
Duration: 05 years (Ten Semesters - Regular teaching in nine semesters and Dissertation in the tenth semester)
Intake: 40 seats
Selection Pattern: Admission through Common Entrance Test covering the following subjects: General Knowledge (including English Language).
II –B.B.A., LL.B. (H) Five Year Course
Duration: 05 years (Ten Semesters - Regular teaching in nine semesters and Dissertation
in the tenth semester)
Intake: 20 seats
Selection Pattern: Admission through Common Entrance Test covering the following subjects: General Knowledge (including English Language).
III - Master of Laws (LL.M.)
Duration: 02 years (Four Semesters - Regular teaching in three semesters and Dissertation in the fourth semester)
Intake: 20 seats
Selection Pattern: Admission through Common Entrance Test.
The LL.M. programme in the following fields of specialization:
Dissertation
(100 marks) (75 + 25 Viva) Internal Internship (Lawyers / Law firms)

Programme Structure
Foreign Students:
Certain seats are reserved for foreign students in the University School in
both graduate and post graduate programmes.
III - Ph. D.
Six students pursuing Ph. D in various areas of law.
Eligibility: A Master's Degree in Law with not less than 60%
marks in aggregate. Five percent relaxation is allowed in favour of (a) SC /
ST candidates and physically handicapped candidates; and (b) teachers with experience
of not less than 5 years.
Part Time Candidates: Devoting part of his time while discharging his employment obligations, applicant must prove to the satisfaction of Board of Studies that his employment duties will permit him to devote sufficient time for research. The Head of applicant's employing organization must endorse his application.
Registration: Applications of eligible candidates are first placed before the School Research Committee for preliminary registration and candidate has to present his research plan before the School Research Committee. If approved by School Research Committee the Plan may be recommended for approval of Board of Studies. While recommending a Research Plan the School Research Committee will also approve the proposed Supervisor. If approved, within one month of approval, the candidate must apply to the Board of Studies on the prescribed form for approval of Registration. If rejected by Board of Studies fresh plan should be submitted through School Research Committee. If approved, the candidate should be registered on payment of fees with effect from the date on which the Board of Studies has approved the plan or any other date specified by Board of Studies.
Other Activities
DELHI POLICE TRAINING PROGRAMME
The USLLS is successfully conducting training programme for police officers
of Delhi Police. Three batches of officers have already completed the programme.
The training programme commenced on 1st November 2007. Assignment to train 700
newly joined Sub-Inspectors of Delhi Police has also been given to USLLS.
