Prof. Lather has teaching, research and consultancy experience spread over 25 years. Currently she is holding the dual charge of Dean of the School and Director, International Affairs of the university. She was founder Head of the Department of Applied Psychology, Guru Jambheshwar Technical University, Hissar from 1997-2000. Prof Lather has passion for research. She has more than 132 papers published in National and International journals, proceedings of National and International Conferences and Seminars.

ONOURS AND AWARDS FOR ACADEMICS & RESEARCH

• In recognition to the valuable and worthy research contributions made by her. Prof. Lather has been conferred the Best Researcher Award consecutively for the last 2 years i.e. 2010 & 2011 by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

• Faculty of Economics and Management, Slovak University of Agriculture, Slovak Republic awarded Gold Medal for Excellence in Academics & Research Activities in the year 2010.

• Szent Istvan University, Godollo, Budapest (Hungary) honoured Prof. Lather for excellent academic activities and International Cooperation with Szent Istvan University, Hungary in 2010.

• Faculty of Applied Economics & Rural Development, University of Debrecen, Hungary presented Medal in acknowledgement of successful cooperation between the two institutions in 2011

INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVERS AWARD CONFERRED IN SINGAPORE

• International Achievers' Award for Education Excellence was presented in recognition for outstanding achievements in the field of Education by Indian Achievers Forum in collaboration with Singapore Chambers of Commerce and Thai Chambers of Commerce at the IV International Achievers' Summit at Singapore in 2011.

Prof. Lather was invited by Oxford University, England to participate in Oxford Round Table Conference in 2009 and also was the Keynote Speaker at the Plenary Session of the
10 th International Conference titled as UN Millennium Development Goals: Challenges and Perspectives at Szent Istvan Egyetem Gazdasag University at Godollo (Hungary) in 2009.

She has traveled extensively to U.K., Germany, France, Hungary, Singapore, Malaysia, Austria, Republic of Slovakia, Czech Republic, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, Bosnia - Herzegovina and Dubai for academic activities.

She is also associated with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) as an Expert for assessment, accreditation, approval, hearing committees and committees for awarding approvals for new institutes and Spot Assessment for the Conferment of Deemed to be University Status, Review Committees etc.

Has extensively conducted workshops and corporate training programmes in the area of HRD and OD. Prof. Lather has been Honorary Member of FICCI – HRD Committee. She has also been member of the Awards Committee for “National Training Award for Innovative Training Practices” of Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) for two consecutive years i.e. 2005-06 and 2006-07 which is an apex body of HRD in India. She has also been a Jury Member for “National Awards for Innovative Training Practices in Indian Organizations Competitions”. This event is organized by ISTD annually for selecting Indian Organizations for Best HR Practices.

She has organized various Conventions, Conferences, Seminars, HR Summits, Behavioural Testing and Counseling Workshops and Management Development Programmes. Corporate Training Module “How to be a Team Player”, “Succeeding Through Communication” and “Transactional Analysis and O.D. Intervention” are well received by the industry. These workshops modules were also conducted for Corporates in Seoul (Korea) and Bangkok (Thailand) at Dubai.

She has been associated with IIM (Bangalore), IIM (Ahmedabad) for curriculum Design and
E-literacy Project.
