About Samarth

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) can leverage the Samarth e-Governance initiative, launched by the Ministry of Education in 2019 under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), to strengthen and accelerate its digital transformation. Samarth provides Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with a comprehensive, cloud-based and customised Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) framework for planning, management, delivery and monitoring of services for students, faculty, employees and other stakeholders. The platform integrates technology with higher education policies, standards and institutional processes, enabling anytime-anywhere access to digital services and facilitating efficient, transparent and streamlined governance. Through Samarth, GGSIPU can further simplify institutional procedures, improve service delivery and move towards a future-ready digital campus.

The Samarth e-Gov Suite offers an integrated platform comprising 9 packages and more than 40 modules, covering key university functions such as admissions, student records, examinations, employee and leave management, payroll, administration and other academic and institutional processes. Its open-source and open-standards-enabled architecture supports process automation and integration of institutional records and data on a single platform. For GGSIPU, adoption of Samarth can help establish an integrated digital ecosystem, reduce duplication of processes and records, improve operational efficiency, enhance transparency and strengthen data-driven decision-making. The platform is continuously enhanced through research, institutional feedback and user requirements, making it a suitable framework for GGSIPU's transition towards a secure, efficient, integrated and future-ready digital university campus.
