Prof. Vijita Singh Aggarwal, Director

Prof. Vijita Singh Aggarwal is a Senior Professor of Management and Director, International Affairs at GGS Indraprastha University. She has always been a forward-thinking academician with proven record of accomplishments spanning over 21 years. She is a recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for European Research Masters at University of London. Driven and ambitious, She focussed on developing the skills of the students so as to make them employment ready. She has a strong interdisciplinary foundation which enables a holistic perspective.

She has also been associated with various institutions like IIT Jammu, IIT Roorkee, IIIT Kota and NLU Shimla as a visiting/adjunct faculty. Her industry experience of about 8 years with a substantial part of it in entrepreneurial role acts as a perspective provider and facilitator in the integration of concepts with various issues that come up in their application.

As Director International Affairs she has focused on the enhancement of cross cultural appreciation and experience of our International students. We have regular conferences, seminars, and webinars in collaboration with organisations such as European Union, UNESCO, Embassies and partner universities in India and abroad. We have robust MOUs with some of the leading universities globally for mobility and collaborative research work.

She has been consistently working on women issues and has written on the importance of inclusive and accessible workplaces as well as issues related to women safety. In this context I also served as Member Advisory Board for Nandghar Project of Vedanta Ltd. (a major corporate house in the space of metals and minerals). This is a major project committed to the national vision of eradicating child malnutrition, providing education, healthcare and empowering women with skill development.

In terms of specific on the ground contribution she has worked actively with women self help groups in Distt Sirmur Himachal Pradesh. During current CORONA Times, she is a member of University’s Corona Task Force and, a major voluntary resource group for mobilizing Corona response over 16 states.
